ISB CACHE Centre receives visit from Laser Learning

Friday, 7th February 2025 – International School Brunei (ISB) CACHE Centre, the only vocational provider of the NCFE CACHE diploma in Brunei Darussalam, recently hosted a visit from Laser Learning, a UK-based e-learning software company.

Ms. Vivette Eaton, Director of Laser Learning, visited ISB CACHE Centre from 14th to 17th January 2025 to observe the centre’s provision of NCFE CACHE qualifications – professional qualifications for adults in early years, teaching and learning, and special needs education.

Laser Learning’s online learning platform is endorsed by the NCFE CACHE awarding organisation and is used across the UK and internationally. ISB CACHE Centre uses the Laser Learning e-portfolio and resources to support learners to achieve their vocational qualifications.

Ms. Nadine Nelson, Head of ISB CACHE Centre said, “We were thrilled to host Ms. Vivette Eaton on her visit to Brunei and her time with the Early Years team and staff involved with our adult training programmes. Ms. Eaton is an integral part of the work of ISB CACHE Centre, with her company providing the e-portfolio systems that all learners use during their CACHE course qualifications.”

“With her extensive experience in international centres offering CACHE courses, Ms. Eaton’s visit provided an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our partnership and gain her expert insights into our training programmes,” added Ms. Nelson.

Reflecting on her visit, Ms. Vivette Eaton said, “The Early Years team follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework as used in the UK, with staff who already have their UK CACHE Level 3 Early Years qualification and others in training for the qualification.”

“The spaces they have inside and out at ISB and the resources available make for an excellent learning experience. What cannot be underestimated is the most valuable resource they have, and that is the professional and highly motivated team of staff who aim to improve outcomes for children, creating sociable, knowledgeable, caring citizens of the future. Stepping into the Early Years section of the school is like stepping into a family environment of care and acceptance. It was a genuinely lovely experience, and I am eager to see what the ISB CACHE Centre achieves going forward,” added Ms. Eaton.

ISB CACHE Centre offers professional qualifications for adults in early years, teaching and learning, and special needs education. CACHE Qualifications are accredited by the Ministry of Education of Brunei and NCFE UK.
