ISB Seria hosts ‘Peter Pan: The Musical’ production

Tuesday, 25th June 2024 – International School Brunei (ISB) Seria hosted its annual musical production for 2024 with a special showcase of ‘Peter Pan: The Musical’ taking centre stage at Pusat Insani in Seria this morning.

This delightful musical based on the heartwarming childhood classic was a unique production written specifically for ISB Seria, showcasing the talent and creativity of the school’s students and staff.

The musical took the audience on a whirlwind adventure, telling the story of a young boy named Peter Pan who can fly, lives on the magical island of Neverland, and refuses to grow up. One night, he visits the nursery of the Darling family and takes Wendy, John, and Michael Darling on a journey to Neverland where they encounter mermaids, fairies, and the villainous Captain Hook and his pirate crew.

The production featured a main cast of Year 3 to Year 7 students, along with supporting singers and performances from students in Year 1 to Year 7.

Taking on roles as producers for the musical production were ISB Seria teachers Mr. Ian Davies and Ms. Maryanne Peters, while the creation of props saw the involvement of all staff as well as students as part of extracurricular activities.

Mr. Dominic Morley, Executive Principal and Chief Executive Officer of ISB attended the event. Also among those to attend were members of the ISB Seria community, including parents and family members.

Mr. Dariush Saheli, Head of ISB Seria Campus said, “Our Peter Pan production is a celebration of ISB Seria’s inclusivity and talent, where every participating student has taken to the stage. The production aims to promote creativity, advocacy, and personal expression through collaboration, imagination, curiosity, the journey of exploration, language, and culture.”
