Journeying through the Middle Years into Secondary school is a pivotal moment in your child’s educational journey, where they not only deepen their proficiency in core subjects but also cultivate their passions. Our Secondary School program is designed to guide students towards inspiration, nurture their ability to think critically, and instill in them a sense of global citizenship. Our dedicated team of highly qualified educators are wholeheartedly committed to the holistic development of each student, and the learning environment in Secondary School serves as a wellspring of inspiration for their continued growth.
In Secondary, students have ample opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities, FOBISIA tournaments, School Productions, Community Service, and participation in BGIC, a Model United Nations Conference, all of which enrich their educational experience.
In ISB Secondary, we maintain open channels of communication with parents using two primary platforms: Edulink and the Secondary Parents’ in the Loop Portal. We keep parents regularly informed about their child’s academic journey through biannual Parents’ Evenings and the timely distribution of academic progress reports. These measures ensure that parents stay closely connected with their child’s educational development and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement in their academic growth.

The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) program for Key Stage 4 students at ISB is meticulously crafted to provide a globally renowned educational foundation. It is designed to prepare learners for the transition to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
IGCSE qualifications hold esteemed recognition worldwide and enjoy acceptance by a diverse array of esteemed higher education institutions. Within this program, all students embark on a comprehensive educational journey that includes ISB’s core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, and a Modern Foreign Language. In addition to these fundamental subjects, students have the opportunity to select three option subjects that align with their interests and aspirations. To cater to our first language Malay speakers, we offer the O Level Bahasa Melayu.
